How science and nature drew the crowds to Cheshire

In 2019, Marketing Cheshire launched Cheshire: Where Science Meets Nature to champion the county’s rich scientific and natural assets through arts and culture. We helped devise the campaign concept for the final year of this project funded by the Arts Council and provided content and PR services to promote day trips and longer breaks by visitors from the area, region and nationwide.

The campaign resulted in more than 70 pieces of coverage, print and online, in local, regional and national publications, with an impact of 678.6m offline and 2.7m online.

The press and PR received for the itineraries over the summer absolutely would not have happened to this extent if it hadn’t been compiled – and pitched – in such a compelling way. The narratives and the work that Traveltappers has done has changed some of the dialogue, conversations and profile of events. Some of the articles we’ve been featured in will no doubt have driven visitors.”
